Ik ben afgehaakt na “Universal app: Native support for iOS and macOS”. Apple-only is nauwelijks universeel te noemen, toch? Bij Android compatibility staat er basically “doe het zelf”: _The protocol is designed to be platform-agnostic. An Android client can be built using:_ \*\* Bluetooth LE APIs\* \*\* Same packet structure and encryption\* \*\* Compatible service/characteristic UUIDs\* ---

Is het nog steeds een ding om eerst voor Apple te ontwikkelen, en dan voor Android? Zou me zeer sterk verwonderen dat dat de langetermijnstrategie zou zijn. ---

Dit soort product lijkt me nochtans niet echt op Westerse markt gericht. Maar bij uitbreider: wat wil dit wel oplossen? Post-apocalyps waar internet en satellieten zijn verdwenen? Cyberpunkwereld waarbij we niet langer willen communiceren over netwerken van corpo’s? Junta’s waar de overheid echt alles meeleest? ---

ja dat klopt, ik heb nu een collega gevraagd het te installeren, om het toch eens te kunnen testen… maar op de Gentse Feesten was dit wel handig geweest, daar was het netwerk constant overbelast, dus we found another use case 😃 ---
